Prior to entering the financial services industry, John worked as a business analyst and commercial account manager. John holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Brandon University in Manitoba and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta.

He has also been involved as a volunteer in his community and he currently serves as the leader in a Bible Study and Prayer group in his church.
